Hit me up for a feature on a song.
I am a underground rapper from the Vancouver area. Growing up in a rough area i had to grow up very fast. Taking care of my brother, working, and keeping my family safe. Throughout all the chaos music has always helped me express myself. XEN stands for Xanax Ecstasy Narcotics, three of the worst things that i had struggled with. Weather it was addiction or just selling. Music had always been a big part of my life. My dad was an audio engineer and drummer. And my mom was a singer in a band, ive pretty much grown up with it. That’s why I really want to pursue music. REVIEWS I stumbled upon James Morrow aka XEN on a search for first generation South African immigrants. And XEN is next up. James seamlessly blends rap styles, music genres, beats, samples and collabs into a fusion that’s so fire its incomparable! Keep It Tucked and Murked has a dark eerie melodic vibe, but the hype of tracks like Case 2 will get you up on your feet. The beat is so infectious and the phrasing of lyrics exemplifies the tension of the situation described in Case 1 and 2. James fuses that Opium vibe with the energy of Rage in songs like Give her a Chance. I love the old school samples of jazzy vocals, and just when you think you’ve got him figured out, he mixes in something that sounds and feels like a mushroom trip. Something you want to spark a blunt to. Its that fire. Next up-James Morrow and the Album Xen. (Rene C. Blogger/Audiophile/Art Critic)
